IOActive invites you to the February edition of HACK::SOHO, a monthly event at our central London office. Join fellow hackers, tech heads, enthusiasts, and visionaries for food, cold beer, and hot cybersecurity talk.
This edition will take place on Thursday the 28th of February and will feature Joshua Hammond, senior security consultant at IOActive. Joshua has primarily worked in the automotive space since he joined IOActive and will enlighten us with insights into the latest vehicle security research.
With the connected car becoming commonplace in the market, vehicle cybersecurity grows more important every year. In 2016 and 2017, IOActive consultants performed over 6,000 hours of work on vehicle hardware systems. Using hard data from real-world vehicle systems, IOActive continues to uncover general issues and provide potential solutions to the cybersecurity threats today’s vehicles face.
During his remotely given talk “Lessons Learned in Automotive Security”, Joshua will:
– Discuss the general issues and cybersecurity threats today’s vehicles face
– Explain how have things changed since his 2015 report
– Highlight where improvement has taken place
– Describe emerging technologies and their security implications
Engage in the discussion with Joshua, ask questions, learn new things, and network, all while enjoying drinks and music.
The doors open at 18:00 and the talk will start at 19:00. Don’t be late! 🙂
